Zach's SWIM page
Thank you for visiting my SWIM page for the 2020 Swim Across the Sound. This years swim will be my second. I am beyond excited for the event for many reasons this year. First, I carry with me the memories of several friends and family who make this swim and it's purpose so important to me. My friend Jim Malaney, my aunt Victoria Arteta, and family friend Michael Dennehy all fought valiantly and courageously when they were diagnosed with cancer. I swim in their honor. My number one priority in participating in the SWIM is to ensure that others have the resources and means to diagnose, treat, and ultimately beat cancer. The SWIM Foundation's mission is to provide vital resources to families who are faced with a cancer diagnosis.
This year I will be swimming with a group of friends, including: Ryan Mason, Dean Brower, Justin Bartosewiecz, and my brothers Albert & Tanner. Because we are such an awesome group of guys with a tremendous amount of swimming in our backgrounds and lives lived on Long Island Sound, we decided to name our team Crab People. We all agree it's original at the very least. We are extremely excited to take part in this event and will be training hard over the coming months to prepare for the swim.
Any and all donation go directly to the foundation, so anything you would be willing to donate would be meaningful! We appreciate your support and be sure to track us on the day of the swim (I will share a link on the day of the swim. Just look for team Crab People!).
